Position Summary
Provides oversight for the effective execution of the Undergraduate Health Science Academy at Morehouse School of Medicine ( UHSA - MSM ) which is housed in the Office for Educational Outreach and Health Careers. UHSA - MSM provides academic support for students pursuing health careers and attending undergraduate institutions in the Atlanta University Center; Clark Atlanta University,
Morehouse College and Spelman College. S/he must have or have the ability to gain a comprehensive knowledge of the day-to-day operations of Morehouse School of Medicine in order to act as an interface of the UHSA - MSM and students, faculty, prospective students, other College staff, and all visitors. This is a 12-month position that reports to the Executive Director. The position requires a high degree of initiative, innovation and self-direction. Some early morning, evenings and occasional weekends required.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required.
Experience:
At least 2 -3 years of related experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience:
Experience in program evaluation and program management
Demonstrated ability to problem-solve, and to meet multiple deadlines
Superior organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and to work effectively as part of a team.

Job Duties
Description of Job Duty
Develop of the strategies to design, develop, and implement the infrastructure to effectively support the UHSA - MSM .
Manage the planning and organization of the daily operations of the Undergraduate Health Science Academy at Morehouse School of Medicine.
Develop the plan to engage students during the summer.
Serves as a program liaison for the Undergraduate Health Science Academy at Morehouse School of Medicine. (ensure immediate responses to program inquiries, maintain and update the UHSA - MSM calendar of events, program descriptions, etc…)
Assist in the development and formulation of the annual budget; prepares budgetary documents and reports; oversees other budgetary data and information for the program.
Write proposals for additional funding. Develop partnerships to support the financial needs of the program.
Work with Executive Director in maintaining regular student contact, as well as, any outside partnerships.
Develop the reports that will be sent to supporting agency regarding the program’s achievement against objectives.
Assists in the review of UHSA - MSM applicants and makes recommendations regarding who is selected.
Assists the Office with program participant tracking.
Other duties as assigned.
Special Work Schedule Requirements: Some nights, weekends and travel.

Immunization Requirements
It is MSM’s Immunization policy that all Prospective Employees are required to provide proof that they are vaccinated against COVID -19 prior to commencement of employment. If employment will commence during Flu Season, MSM requires all individuals to provide proof that they are vaccinated against Seasonal Influenza for the current Flu Season, unless granted an exemption. Failure to provide proof of vaccination for any required vaccines or obtain an exemption from MSM will result in rescission of a candidate’s offer of employment or disciplinary action up to and including termination.
