Microchip Technology Regional Applications Engineer in Austin, Texas
The Business Development Manager is responsible for supporting the product strategy including the definition of new products and securing designs. This person also develops strategies for markets, customers and channels and helps implement them worldwide. The Business Development Manager is also responsible for driving revenue growth and developing market leadership position. This role has worldwide responsibilities within the product line.
Develop and maintain relationships with tier one customers, driving design-wins from product conception through release to production
Support product strategy including defining new products and securing designs
Perform business and investment analyses including market opportunity sizing, business opportunity identification, and business case analysis
Generate competitive analysis (product and product line positioning)
Participate in all phases of product roadmap development including defining compelling products and prioritizing products to be developed
Determine the value add proposition of products and their sustainable competitive advantages, and confirm the value add proposition with customers by securing design-wins
Ability to leverage Microchip's core competencies in Timing into growth markets
Represent Microchip externally, as an ambassador for the Timing product line
BA or BS degree
Five years proven track record in business sales or related market
Excellent organizational skills, with emphasis on priorities and goal setting
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and statistical analysis software
Superior presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal
Technical skills required to understand and propose products or solutions by focusing on client requirements
Ability to communicate information, whether technical or non-technical to staff members and customers, in a clear and concise manner
