Roles & Responsibilities:

• Maintain the test framework for systems being tested on Windows and Linux

• Create software in support of testing and validation for a specific product line

• Software testing of a medical device using testing bodily fluids

• Verify instrument functioning and calibrate specific lab instruments and documents data.

• Design test cases for products

• Implement test cases via writing automation test scripts

• Generate tickets and follow-up with defects tracked using a project management database in an agile environment

• Implement tools to reduce effort required in day to day verification tasks

• Assist with the setup and emulation of customer systems

• Create load/stress testing scripts, tools and processes

• Learn to review test script run results where the results show fails and investigate the fails to figure out the source of the errors and fix them

• Perform overall quality control of QA work (Peer reviews)

Required Skills (Technical Competency):

• Hands-on experience on multiple open source/commercial tools like QTP, Selenium, Test Complete, CodedUI, etc., web testing, frameworks, and infrastructures for automation

• Ability to work closely with Project stakeholders (Development, Sales, Testing, Support)

• Functional analysis and UAT coordination and execution

• Experience in preparing Test Planning, Test Strategy, Effort Estimation, Defect Management, Metrics, Test Automation Plan

• Providing guidance on the selection of the most effective test design techniques in a given situation

• Defining viable methods for the creation, procurement and management of test data

• Coordinates testing with release processes

• Excellent high-level and low-level documentation skills

• Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills

• Experience in working with Agile methodology of project execution

• Experience in software testing or Medical device testing or Lifesciences of more than 4-6 years' experience

Desired Skills:

• Some laboratory or diagnostic experience desired.

• Ability to demonstrate competency of computer skills.
