Job Title: IoT Test Automation Engineer

Location: Bangalore

Job & Division Summary:

This position is for the IoT RMS System Testing Team of Ingersoll Rand Engineering & Technology Center. The team is responsible for complete end – to – end testing of all the IoT Remote Management System of IR and GD Ingersoll Rand Compressors. The Position is for a Test Automation Position for the IoT RMS Project, which is a part of Digital Development Project. This IoT system supports Multiple IR and GD Compressor Controller Applications, and the Team is responsible for testing this platform with all the applications.

Responsibilities

1. Understand IoT System Requirements / Software (Edge Device FW, Controller Application, Web Application and User Interface) and come up with Test automation requirements.

2. Understanding the Non-Functional testing requirements like Frontend application GUI performance or IoT System performance.

3. Identify Automation possible test cases in Regression suite and come up with Automation solution design and implementation.

4. Perform feasibility study for Test Automation by evaluating tools and implementing PoC.

5. Test Automation implementation and improving Automation coverage and overall project efforts.

6. Execution, maintenance, and enhancement of Functional and Non-Functional Automation solutions.

7. Performing Project activities for the project and preparing Test Automation Development, Test Report, and Maintaining Test Cases to Latest, Maintaining DFMEA / DVP&R.

8. Work closely with Global team, coordinate with multiple teams, and report out of the status to Global team.

Mandatory/ Essential Skills

1. Minimum 4 years of experience in Test Automation and Performance Testing Tools

2. Expertise in Test Automation Framework / Solution development.

3. Experience in IoT and Embedded domain projects.

4. Expertise in Python / Java language.

5. Expertise in Web / Mobile Automation Tools like Selenium & Appium and Performance Tools like JMeter

6. Experience in Embedded Application Testing, Web Testing and API testing using tools like POSTMAN tool.

Desired skills:

1. Knowledge of IoT Broker (ex., HONO) and Database (BigQuery).

2. Knowledge of Database Querying and Validation.

3. Knowledge of command line tools for Linux Terminal.

4. Good Communication and Teamwork and Problem Solving and resolution skills.

5. Ability to break down the requirements and come up with Test Scenarios & Test Cases.

6. Ability to work closely with Global Team, Excellent Communication Skills

7. Ability to break down problems to granular solvable problems.

Basic Qualifications

Experience:-

4-5 years of experience, Education Qualification Bachelor / Master of Engineering in Computer Science / Electronic & Communication Engineering, experience in IoT & Embedded projects, experience in test automation solution development for CLI, APIs and GUI applications with cloud infrastructure expertise.
