Technical Professional Leader; Flight Test Engineer

KBR is seeking a highly motivated Flight Test Engineer to support an Air Force Life Cycle Management Center Aircraft Acquisition program at Wright-Patterson AFB, OH. The candidate will high level test and evaluation of ongoing research and development projects including developing and documenting test plans and procedures, conducting testing, and evaluating and documenting test results. Provides advanced technical test and evaluation knowledge and analysis of aircraft and program requirements and the operational environment. Candidate will apply USAF T&E principles, methods, and knowledge to deliver T&E plans developed for specific programs.

Specific responsibilities may include:

  • Deliver high-level subject matter expertise to the USAF T&E engineering and flight test experience for multiple aircraft platforms and systems

  • Advising Project Leads and Project Engineers on Matters of Test Engineering as it Applies to Technical Efforts

  • Appling Systems Engineering, Test Engineering, and Test Operations Expertise to Projects

  • Create and deliver AFLCMC flight authorization standardized processes, and validate tools

  • Provide test engineering experience with acquisition management on ACAT I programs

  • Develop and deliver T&E technical reports, studies, and related documentation

  • Plan, Manage and Execute Program Test Activities, Including the Planning, Execution, and Reporting of Test Projects

  • Coordinating Test Planning Working Groups, Logistical Requirements, System Program Office Delegations, Technical Interchanges, and Day-to-Day Interactions Between the System Program Office and Supporting Test Organizations

Required Qualifications: Master’s degree; at least 10 years of experience, DAWIA T&E Level 2

Security Requirements: TS/SCI

Preferred Qualifications: USAF Test Pilot School (TPS) Graduate; DAWIA T&E Level 3
