Boston University Pediatric Emergency Medicine Physician, Boston Medical Center and Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine, Department of Pediatric Emergency Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts

The Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine at Boston Medical Center/Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine is actively seeking a Pediatric Emergency Medicine physician to join our dynamic division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine for the current academic year (2024-2025).

Applicants interested in full-time and part-time FTE will be considered.

Boston Medical Center is the largest safety-net hospital in New England. Our Pediatric Emergency Department is a level 2 pediatric trauma center and cares for 25,000 patients per year. New faculty will join a collegial academic Pediatric Emergency Medicine Division of 11 PEM attendings, a team of urgent care providers, and three PEM fellows. BMC is committed to the care of vulnerable populations and is home to numerous innovative programs that identify and address unmet needs in our patient community that impact health outcomes including violence prevention, substance use treatment, family planning, and resource insecurity. BMC PEM physicians also provide pediatric medical direction for Boston EMS, the largest municipal EMS service in New England.

Faculty responsibilities include clinical care, teaching, and active participation in Divisional activities. BMC PEM faculty supervise pediatric residents in the Boston Combined Residency Program (BCRP), and residents from Emergency Medicine and Family Medicine at Boston Medical Center. We are involved in the education of residents, as well as clinical students from the Boston University Chobanian and Avedisian School of Medicine (CAMED).

Faculty receive an appointment with BU CAMED and are encouraged and supported to pursue work in education, administration, and research. Academic rank and salary offered are commensurate with experience and achievement.

Qualifications

Applicants must have MD or DO (or foreign equivalent), must be Board Certified or Eligible (or foreign equivalent) in Pediatric Emergency Medicine, and must be eligible for medical licensure in state of Massachusetts.
