Microchip Technology Human Resources Intern in Chandler, Arizona


Microchip Technology Inc. is seeking an Intern for our HR department. This internship will be paid. The ideal candidate will have an interest in Human Resources and learning the functions of a Compensation role. This position will provide administrative support with a heavy emphasis on data analysis and HRIS integrations. The position will also provide a glimpse in to other aspects of corporate Human Resources, such as Benefits and Mergers & Acquisitions.

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Creating/ Sending employee communications using mail merges

  • Assisting in administering salary reviews and bonus payouts

  • Updating and Auditing information in Microchip’s HRIS platform

  • Creating Excel data files and PowerPoint presentations

  • Updating HR Compensation policies

  • Answering employee questions


  • Actively pursuing a degree in Human Resources or similar- must currently be a student or enrolled in a minimum of one class for the semester

  • Advanced Excel Skills- (vlookups, pivot tables, ability to work with large data sets)

  • Experience with mail merges preferred

  • Ability to multitask and reprioritize with little notice

  • Keen attention to detail and organization

  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality

  • Professional and dependable
