Microchip Technology Senior Business Analyst/Project Manager/Product Owner in Chandler, Arizona

Description

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst/Project Manager/Product Owner to join our Collaborative Applications Team. The candidate will work closely with stakeholders and development team to deliver collaborative and productivity enhancing intranet/extranet web solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions.

  • Leading ongoing reviews of business processes and developing optimization strategies.

  • Staying up-to-date on the latest process and IT advancements to automate and modernize systems.

  • Conducting meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings.

  • Performing requirements analysis.

  • Documenting and communicating the results of your efforts.

  • Effectively communicating your insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management.

  • Gathering critical information from meetings with various stakeholders and producing useful reports.

  • Working closely with clients, technicians, and managerial staff.

  • Ensuring solutions meet business needs and requirements.

  • Performing user acceptance testing.

  • Managing projects, developing project plans, and monitoring performance.

  • Prioritizing initiatives based on business needs and requirements.

  • Serving as a liaison between stakeholders and users.

  • Managing competing resources and priorities.

  • Monitoring deliverables and ensuring timely completion of projects.

Requirements

Education and Experience

The candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or equivalent. A minimum of 10 years of combined work experience involving business analysis, project management and solution delivery is required.

System Analysis/Design and Project Management

The candidate must be familiar with all stages of the software life cycle. Candidate must be able to learn quickly, think efficiently, gather information effectively and understand user requirements. Experience with process flow and data flow diagramming tools is desirable.

  • Proven experience in web application development methodologies, requirements gathering, use case development and documentation of functional requirements.

  • Experience with Agile, SDLC methodologies and PMI concepts.

  • A history of leading and supporting successful projects.

  • Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills

  • Experience in quality and risk management.

  • Experience with test case development.

Skills and Technical Knowledge

The candidate must have sufficient technical background to efficiently and effectively communicate to stakeholders and development team.

  • Working knowledge of web applications, business process automation, responsive UI designs, websites, end user experience, and enterprise collaboration platforms.

  • Experience in creating mockups using tools such as Balsamiq, Pencil

  • Experience in database query languages.

  • Experience with web technologies such as HTML5, ASP.NET, C#, SharePoint.

  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

  • Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations.

  • Post-release product support and driving continuous improvements.

  • Prior software web development experience is a plus.

Problem Solving

The candidate must have the ability to think outside the box and should be capable of performing analysis to resolve complex issues.

Verbal/Written Communication

The candidate must have strong English language (verbal and written communication) skills. Candidate must be able to contribute in group meetings, provide project updates, write functional and user training documents.

Candidate must be able to communicate effectively with internal business customers, co-workers, manager and development team (on-shore and off-shore).
