Microchip Technology Tax Manager in Chandler, Arizona
Manage consolidated income tax provision and footnotes in accordance to ASC 740 principles. Duties include but not limited to accounting for stock-based compensation, uncertain tax positions, and technical research and writing
Assist with management of income and non-income tax audits
Management of SOX compliance
Remain current on new tax legislation and tax accounting rules.
Provide support and project management for special tax related projects.
Support the Tax team in a number of activities, such as restructuring, tax planning, and M&A.
Minimum 5+ years of progressive corporate tax experience in public accounting (Big 4 preferred) and industry
Must have solid understanding of GAAP accounting principles especially ASC 740
BA/BS in Business/Accounting or equivalent
Masters Degree in Taxation preferred
A self-starter with strong knowledge in U.S. and non U.S. taxation. Experience with multi-national tax operations preferred
Strong analytical and organizational skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Team player with effective supervisory skills
Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment
