Location: Euclid - 22801 - Cleveland, OH, United States (US) Employment Status: Salary Full-Time Function: Manufacturing Req ID: 24490 Summary Lincoln Electric is seeking a an Engineering Technologist - CAD Systems Administrator for our Euclid, Ohio headquarters. The Engineering Technologist - CAD Systems Administrator will coordinate, maintain and support software used to create 2D CAD drawings and 3D CAD models of engineering designed parts, assemblies, layouts and specifications. What You Will Do The Engineering Technologist plays a critical role within their team, with responsibilities that include: * Evaluate new software from multiple vendors to determine their benefit to Lincoln Electric. * Develop training programs for new software packages, for major software upgrades and for new processes. * Create software programs to automate processes and to augment the capabilities of the CAD software and the operating system software. * Troubleshoot and resolve problems related to the CAD software and the operating system software. * Periodically review procedures and existing customized processes to determine if they could be improved, including improvement by utilizing new technical capabilities. * Update software and document updates and enhancements. * To provide service and support to all departments using CAD software and hardware. * Utilize CAD knowledge and experience to support Engineering as needed Experience & Education Required * For Level II Engineering Technologist: Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology & 3+ years of related experience OR Associate's degree in related field & 5+ years of related experience OR 10+ years of related experience in lieu of a degree * Familiarity with electrical, mechanical, product data management and analysis software. * Ability to learn UNIX, VMS, PC-DOS, Windows and Windows NT operating systems. * Ability to learn network software packages and to understand networking concepts. * Ability to learn and work with databases, spreadsheets, word processors and associated software packages. * Knowledge of standard engineering design and documentation procedures.
