Description We are offering a contract opportunity for a Software Engineer based in Cleveland, Ohio. This role primarily involves designing and implementing solutions for our core learning platform and reporting and analytics system. The successful candidate will be part of a small team, working predominantly on front-end tasks, and will have the opportunity to contribute significantly to our ongoing migration to Azure.

Responsibilities:

• Developing, testing, and maintaining software applications using Ruby on Rails and React.

• Collaborating with the team to develop solutions and functionalities for our core learning platform and reporting and analytics system.

• Working on the migration process to Azure, ensuring the efficient and effective transition of our systems.

• Contributing to the front-end tasks, enhancing the user interface and user experience of our platforms.

• Collaborating with product owners to clear product-related backlogs.

• Utilizing skills in Apache Struts, C++, Database, EO/IR systems, Hibernate ORM, AB Testing, Ajax, API Development, ASP.NET, and CSS to accomplish tasks.

• Monitoring and improving server-side Ruby on Rails operations.

• Maintaining effective communication with team members to ensure the smooth operation of projects. Requirements • Proficiency in Apache Struts, C++, Database, EO/IR systems, Hibernate ORM, AB Testing, Ajax, API Development, ASP.NET, CSS, Ruby on Rails, React is required.

• Demonstrated experience in software development and engineering.

• Strong understanding of software engineering principles and modern software development techniques.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think logically.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.

• Experience with version control systems such as Git.

• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Proven ability to learn new technologies quickly.

• Strong attention to detail and dedication to quality.

• Ability to write clean, maintainable code.

• Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS or Google Cloud is a plus.

• Knowledge of software testing methodologies and practices.

• Familiarity with continuous integration and deployment processes.

• Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms.
