LINQUEST CORPORATION Senior Test Engineer in Dayton, Ohio

Description LinQuest is seeking a Senior Test Engineer to join our team in our office in Beavercreek, Ohio. The ability to obtain a DoD security clearance is required Description: This position will support an advanced research project in the Air Force Research Laboratory. The selected candidate will support the Air Force Research Lab in development of advanced aerial refueling technology. Senior Test Engineers provide support to full spectrum test planning, facilitation and execution of system testing as well as reporting on performance. The ideal candidate will assist in the designing, planning, execution, analysis, and reporting on all phases of test and evaluation programs support development of plans to assess the performance of aeronautical systems throughout early experimentation and technology assessment. The right candidate will provide engineering oversight of autonomous aerial refueling concepts development and test operations. Responsibilities: Act as government liaison for Air Force Research Lab activities; drive disciplined problem resolution by reporting blockers, issues & concerns, developing & recommending solutions, and timely executing required project modifications Supports a team in the day-to-day conduct, execution, and positive results for research test and evaluation (T&E) activities, from requirements formulation through test planning and performance verification, for compliance with approved test strategies and plan. Support programmatic discussions including briefing, and coordinating with, senior leadership, guiding installation/integration of new hardware/software, and interfacing with industry partners and operational stakeholders Support government contract efforts to estimate and track costs, schedule, and performance of required systems Author and deliver program documentation including status reports, white papers, working group charts, trip reports Provide input and support to the development of test plans and reports to autonomous aerial refueling flight tests and experimentation Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience 10+ years of experience in Test Engineering. Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field. Ability to obtain a DoD security clearance is required Experience with preparing and reviewing test plans containing such information as type of test to be conducted, facilities required, proposed schedule, and estimated cost of project. Ability to conducts performance tests and evaluation of items/systems. Ability to ensures sufficient equipment and resources (e.g. personnel) are available to perform tasks. Experience with coordinating test requirements with fellow engineers or subject matter specialists, other PMs or organizations for tests or facilities that are required for the test. Experience with analyzing and evaluating technical data including instrumentation readings, calculations, deficiency reports, etc. to ensure valid results or obtain weaknesses or failures encountered and probable causes, suggested modification and design changes. Experience with analyzing design and specification proposals of manufacturers to ascertain that they meet specified general requirements; makes recommendations as to feasibility of designs, time and cost estimates, and other technical phases proposed. Knowledge of DoD, DAF, acquisition, and USAF T&E policies and regulations Knowledge of instrumentation systems, data collection and reduction techniques, commercial and military standards, and use of management information systems necessary to facilitate testing and evaluation. Proven ability in applying data analysis techniques. Ability to develop evaluation strategies to include application of design of experiments and modeling and simulation techniques. Knowledge of the architecture, protocols, security, network management and physics underlying these systems
