Job Description

An employer is looking for a Composite Laminator/Technician in the El Segundo, CA area. The Technician will bond a variety of dissimilar materials (composite, metal, or laminate) assemblies, parts, skins, components, equipment or structures into semi-finished or finished products. They will lay out articles, cuts parts or materials to size, and apply liquid or solid bonding agents. They will operate autoclave, hydraulic presses and ovens to complete bonding cycle. They will support in controlling conditions of heat, pressure, and timing by setting and operating various controls according to the specifications for the materials and the bonding agent being used. Other tasks include sanding, burring and smoothing over areas, applying sealing resins to cut or exposed edges and completing repairs on composite, metal or laminate bonded products using inspection and rework instructions.

Skills and Requirements

- HS Diploma/ GED

- 3-5 years experience with fabricating composite components/tools (would flex on more jr candidates)

o Ie: Bond prep, tool prep, ply kit generation, lamination, vacuum bagging, de-molding, trimming, finishing, core fabrication, and bond work

- Experience in aerospace, space, or automotive industry

- Eligible to obtain a security clearance in the future null
