Support plant controller in day to day inventory and cost management for multiple plants, warehouses and 3rd party co-packers across the Fresh Preserving network. Operations analyst is responsible for accuracy of production inventory movement and analytics thru the system as well as partnering with plant controller on financial management, planning and controls for the network. Provide leadership and look at opportunities for cost savings, along with system improvements. This position reports directly to the Controller, Food Division. Perform as an expert in all aspects of financial planning, reporting, controls and administration including essential functions mentioned below.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Prepare, maintain and analyze weekly plant metric files/monthly KPI reporting.

• Identify issues and proactively initiate analyses / solutions to plant issues and raise the flag when margins are at risk.

• Assist in annual physical inventory as multiple sites.Implement strong cycle counting system and ensure inventory controls are followed.

• Reconcile inventory located at 3rd party locations.

• Assist in the timely completion of the month-end financial close including preparation of journal entries.

• Demonstrate awareness of all elements of a plant’s financial statements

• Partner with plant management to increase plant efficiency and profitability

• Track cost reduction projects and maintain required reporting.Coordinate reviews with plant cost center owners.

• Assist in the annual budget at the plant level.

• Support product costing.

• Ad hoc analysis

Key Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or related field

• 2-4years of experience in Operations Finance

• A strong emphasis should be put on knowledge of management accounting, cost and inventory accounting, and GAAP.

• Strong analytical skills are required to quickly grasp issues impacting the plant’s financial results.

• Strong communication, with all levels of the organization

• Completes task with a sense of urgency

• Good listening, teamwork, and attention to detail

• Reliable with patience and professionalism

• Use of Microsoft outlook and MS Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications:

• Progressive cost accounting and analysis experience with a major manufacturing organization.

• Experience using SAP Inventory and Costing module

• Experience using Hyperion, Kronos
