Electronic and Calibration Technician

Pay Grade:

Job Description:

As an Electronic and Calibration Technician, you will be supporting the engineering department at Allison Transmission. You will be responsible for calibration, tracking, and documentation of data acquisition equipment working in a test cell environment working with a team of test engineers integrating test hardware for data acquisition and control. There will be a focus on troubleshooting test cell and vehicle electronics. There will be an opportunity to work with hybrid electric hardware in the test cell and vehicle environment.

In this role, you will be a valuable part of the team by:

• Calibration of test equipment and test cells.

• Maintain calibration records and database.

• Integration support of test hardware setup.

• Maintain electronic/electrical equipment in the department.

• Trouble shooting of test equipment.

• Maintain schematics.

• Collaborating in a team environment.

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

• Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering Technology (EET) or equivalent.

• 2 years of experience in an electronic/electrical environment preferred

• Hybrid/electric vehicle understanding.

• Basic use of hand tools.

• Understanding of electronic/electrical equipment.
