Randstad is looking for an experienced pump technician for a growing pump supply company in Jacksonville. The pump technician is responsible for the disassembly, reassembly, and testing of new pumps. This position is also responsible for the fabrication of pump skids per engineered drawings by fitting and welding. You will need 2 years as a proven MIG and TIG welding of steel and stainless steel and similar shop experience. Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, $22-25 an hour based upon experience.

Responsibilities

• Read pump layout drawings and prints/CAD drawings.

• Manufacture standard and custom pump units from bar stock by welding to fit and form required pump frames utilizing drill press, grinder, and hand tools.

• Welding of fabricated bar stock to flat bar using a MIG/TIG welder.

• Operate a sit-down forklift to move jobs around the shop.

• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• Perform shop duties while adhering to safety protocol.

The essential functions of this role include:

• working in a smoke free environment

• wearing steel toe shoes

• working in a non-temperature controlled environment

• manual lifting up to 50lbs

• standing for 6 hours at one time
