Job Description:

Parsons is seeking an experienced Senior Engineer - Materials with expertise in Civil, Structural, and Mechanical engineering to join our dynamic team in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will play a critical role in the planning, design, and execution of a groundbreaking oceanarium construction project. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the creation of a world-class aquatic facility that will captivate visitors and promote marine conservation efforts.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative solutions for the design and construction of the oceanarium, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

• Lead the materials engineering aspect of the project, including selection, testing, and optimization of construction materials to withstand marine environments.

• Conduct structural analysis and simulations to assess the performance and integrity of proposed designs under various loading conditions.

• Provide technical expertise in mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and filtration, to ensure efficient operation and maintenance of the facility.

• Oversee quality control and assurance processes throughout the construction phase to maintain the highest standards of workmanship and safety.

• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including material specifications, design calculations, and project reports.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or related field

• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in materials engineering, with a focus on large-scale construction projects, preferably with experience in the aquatic or marine industry.Strong understanding of material properties, corrosion resistance, and durability in marine environments.Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and coordinate with interdisciplinary teams.Effective communication and leadership skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
