Description We are in search of a meticulous and efficient Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team in the construction and contracting industry. Based in Ladson, South Carolina, this role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity. The Accounts Receivable Clerk will be primarily responsible for posting payments, handling discrepancies, data entry, and managing cash applications. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Sage Accounting Software is required.

Responsibilities:

• Handle data entry tasks and maintain accurate records of transactions.

• Manage and apply cash applications effectively and efficiently.

• Process and post customer payments promptly.

• Resolve discrepancies in customer accounts and ensure accurate account reconciliation.

• Use Sage Accounting Software to maintain and manage customer accounts.

• Use Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.

• Monitor customer accounts and take necessary action for delinquent payments.

• Collaborate with the billing team to ensure accurate and timely billing.

• Handle commercial collections and ensure compliance with established policies.

• Provide excellent customer service when handling customer credit inquiries. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is mandatory

• Experience in Accounts Receivable (AR) is necessary

• Familiarity with Billing procedures and protocols

• Proficiency in Cash Applications

• Experience in Cash Collections is necessary

• Knowledge of Commercial Collections is required

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required

• Experience with Sage Accounting Software is a plus
