HR Business Partner Position Summary To provide assistance and guidance to employees and management team within the G&J business: responsible for the goals and targets on HR service and partnership delivery to the supported internal business unit assigned; maintains a professional level working network to the HR subject matter experts in order to support their designated geographic locations. Focuses on maintaining a positive relationship with the business and other HR team members and contribute to G&J Pepsi as being the premier Employer of Choice. Essential Functions Deals with complex or sensitive day to day people management issues and provides general assistance and support to employees and responds to employee requests for information and questions, including monitoring the HR Team email; answers both routine and complex questions by researching answers to questions using internal resources (e.g. Employee Guide, union contracts, benefits certificates, HR Advice book); escalates issues to the Employee & Labor Relations Manager or employee supervisor when appropriate. Acts as a single point of the contact for the employees and managers in the covered geographic location. Supports, develops and coaches managers and supervisors to manage employee relations issues using G&J's policies, procedures and best practice, ideally resolving issues where possible. Supports the delivery of HR Processes to the business and builds a strong business relationship with their internal partners, actively identifies gaps, proposes and implement changes necessary to cover risks. Acts as the performance improvement driver and provokes positive changes in the people management. Translates business requirements into effective HR practices across the company, delivering people solutions aligned to business objectives; works at an operational level with multiple stakeholders. Maintains driver files for DOT drivers; enters data into HRIS database and analyzes records to ensure compliance with all drivers; resolves any compliance issues according to established company policy. Maintains Random Drug Testing program; submits quarterly selection report and schedules testing dates; verifies that all required testing is completed according to established standards. Ensures that company policies, standards and procedures are met, followed and maintained in accordance with established company policy (e.g. DOT, and Federal/State/Local laws). Plans, coordinates and staffs employee relations and engagement activities at location-based events (e.g. employee recognition events and awards, Family Day and Wellness Fairs). Provides basic administrative support to Human Resources Team as needed (e.g. maintains files, distributes reports and mail, creates documents and presentations). Completes and maintains random drug testing report, annual motor vehicle record reports (DOT and non- DOT drivers), DOT expiration reports, union dues, seniority lists and other reports and documentation according to established company policy and contract requirements. Maintains confidentiality of financial information, insurance and litigation documents, employee information (e.g. wage information, discipline, health information) and other sensitive and confidential information. Ensures the organization is compliant with all applicable Federal/State/Local Laws. Works assigned schedule, exhibits regular and predictable attendance and works outside of the normal schedule as required to meet workload demands; performs other related duties as required. Education Level Minimum - 2 Year/Associate Degree or equivalent work experience in Human Resources Management. Preferred - 4 Year/Bachelors Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Management, or related field. Experience Years of Experience - 3 - 5 years Human Resources experience Computer Skills Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Access and pivot tables. Additional Requirements Knowledge of: Microsoft Office Suite including Access and pivot tables; ADP Vantage HRIS; beverage industry; Human Resources policies, practices, laws and regulations (e.g. FMLA, DOT). Skill in: internal and external customer service. Ability to: work quickly, efficiently and independently; multi-task; prioritize; be detail oriented; meet deadlines in a pressured situation; communicate effectively with other employees and develop good working relationships; listen; have empathy for other employees; adapt to change; problem solve; operate a computer, copier, printer, fax machine; read and write; maintain composure in stressful or difficult situations; create, develop and deliver presentations to other employees.
