The purpose of this position is not just to validate and release aftermarket automotive products but to play a crucial role in our company's success. The engineer will be responsible for tactical aspects of continuous improvement in brake product validation and testing, including warranty data collection and analysis and developing a product improvement strategy based on the results of warranty investigations and testing.

Principle Responsibilities  

  • Development and testing of brake components – friction, rotor, etc. Analyze testing data, confirm testing reliability, and provide summary reports to engineering/R&D teams

  • As part of a global team, you will coordinate, plan, and organize testing samples. Your role will be to align testing priority to complete development testing in time for the project objectives, fostering a sense of teamwork and collaboration.

  • Work with R&D lab to ensure new testing specs are developed properly, assist shake-down testing to ensure all critical data are captured to cover the initial objectives  

  • Work among warranty investigation teams, collect engineering data and conduct root cause analysis of defective products, identify areas to improve and reduce overall warranty complaint

  • Prepare Engineering analysis data reports and interface with Engineering and Quality teams to present findings and recommendations.

  • Apply lessons learned and participate in product cross-references and consolidation with the friction engineering team.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education/Experience

  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel.

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fields

  • 1-3 years working experience in mechanical engineering, manufacturing, etc.

  • Self-motivated sense of urgency and priority, ability to work on multi-tasks, well-organized
