In this role, you will be involved with the introduction of new RF products as well as sustaining product engineering efforts. This is an opportunity to work alongside a team of senior Engineers. You will work with a cross-functional team of Engineers, Product Line Managers and Engineering Assistants for the production support of RF/Microwave diodes, MMICs, and MW Modules. The Electrical Engineer's role consists of aiding in product validation, development of production test plans, creation and modification of test software and fixtures, and the creation and release of production documentation. The successful candidate will collaborate with program management, design team, and test engineering to ensure optimal execution of test plans, validation testing, and verification of test results.


The Engineer will be responsible for the following:

  • Support new products into production

  • Support all aspects of product introduction including the documentation, BOMs, manufacturing flow, test plans

  • Support product engineering for all production products. Interfaces with design, process, test, reliability and manufacturing engineering to solve product issues and production problems, including:

  • Create and/or revise production tests plans to verify product performance

  • Create and/or revise automated test code

  • Design/Layout RF/Microwave test boards and fixtures for manual and automated test equipment usage

  • Design, run, and document results of experiments under the direction of senior Engineers. Experience with Design of Experiments and test software is a plus.

  • Develop Test Setups and coordinate lab RF measurements

  • Analyze and organize validation test data

  • Keep accurate records of all activities related to running process experiments or making process changes

  • Post-release product yield analysis and manufacturing flow optimization

  • Create and maintain manufacturing documentation

  • A minimum of a BSEE

  • Have a working knowledge of RF circuitry, PCBs, and test fixtures

  • Ability to think out-of-the-box and create unique solutions to problems

  • Familiarity with characterization data collection/crunching and statistical capability analysis using common tools such as Excel, Datalyzer SPC, Minitab, etc.

  • Strong failure analysis techniques and efficient problem solving and troubleshooting skills

  • Ability to manage multiple projects

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with ability to prepare and present technical data and report on engineering concepts to team members

  • Experience, coursework, or knowledge of best-practice engineering principles

  • Familiarity with statistical methods such as: Design of Experiments, Statistical Process Control and Gage R&R, FMEA

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills with high proficiency in Excel


  • Prior knowledge /experience using standard lab equipment for ATE to bench correlation

  • Experience using a network analyzer, power meter, and RF signal generator

  • RF/MW experience

  • Linux

  • Protocols: GPIB, USB, Ethernet

  • Understanding of IP Configuration and Routing

  • PuTTY, VNC, Remote Desktop

  • LabWindows, C Programming, MS Visual Studio, .NET, Visual Basic

  • Coursework or experience in a semiconductor environment for manufacture and test
