This is a full-time position - 40 hours a week.
In this role, you will be involved with the introduction of new RF products and support sustaining product engineering efforts. This is an opportunity for an engineering graduate with a degree in Electrical engineering to work alongside a team of senior product engineers.
An immediate opportunity exists for an entry level Product Engineer with the responsibility of working with a cross functional team of design engineers, Product Line Managers and engineering assistants for the production release of RF/Microwave diodes, ICs and modules. The Product Engineer's role consists of developing product validation and production tests plans, the creation of evaluation board to verify product performance, the creation and release of production documentation including the technical content for product datasheets. The successful candidate will collaborate with program management, design & test engineering and applications & marketing engineering to ensure optimal execution of test plans, validation testing, verification of test results, datasheet content, datasheet accuracy and the production release of a complete documentation package. The Product Engineer will work closely with operations and offshore manufacturing to develop and document product manufacturing flow.
The product engineer is responsible for managing new product introduction and sustaining product support engineering for a specific product or group of products after transfer from design to in-house or outsourced production. Interfaces with design, process, test, reliability and manufacturing engineering to solve product issues and production problems. This included:
Generate and/or revise production tests plans to verify product performance.
Design/Layout RF/Microwave test boards for product evaluation and for automated test equipment use.
Design, run and document results of experiments under the direction of senior engineers. Experience with Design of Experiments is a plus.
Develop Test Set up and coordinate lab RF measurements.
Analyze and organize validation test data and create datasheet graphs.
Must keep accurate records of all activities related to running process experiments or making process changes.
Execute all aspects of product release including the documentation, BOMs, datasheets, manufacturing flow, test plans and product costing.
Successful execution of product release plan according to schedule.
Post release product yield analysis and manufacturing flow optimization.
Defining package requirements for product, assuring compliance with customer and internal Quality and Reliability requirements.
Maintain engineering database and documentation suite
A minimum of a BSEE with a Cumulative GPA 3.0 or higher.
Have a working knowledge of RF circuitry PCBs and test fixtures.
Ability to think out-of-the-box and create unique solutions to problems.
Familiarity with characterization data collection/crunching and statistical capability analysis using common tools such as Excel, Datapower or DataConductor.
Strong failure analysis techniques and efficient problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Effective verbal and written communication skills with ability to prepare and present technical data and report on engineering concepts to team members.
Experience, coursework, or knowledge of best-practice engineering principles.
Familiarity with statistical methods such as: Design of Experiments, Statistical Process Control and Gage R&R.
Strong Microsoft Office skills with high proficiency in Excel.
Prior knowledge /experience using standard lab equipment for ATE to bench correlation; network analyzer, power meter, RF signal generator.
RF experience in a semiconductor environment.
Coursework or experience with semiconductor manufacture and test.
