Transportation Planner (Multiple Positions) (Stantec Consulting Services, Inc.; Minneapolis, MN): Analyze, interpret, evaluate, and solve complex issues using sound professional judgment, creativity, innovation and strategic thinking. Communicate clearly and concisely to make and support recommendations. Manage multiple transportation projects. Work collaboratively and independently on multiple projects and adapt as priorities change to meet deadlines. Perform analytical, technical and design related duties for the development of a variety of transportation projects including bicycle, pedestrian, and transit. Interpret and apply planning guidelines and ordinances. Lead, participate in, coordinate, and host public and stakeholder meetings for urban and transportation planning projects. Develop and maintain client relationships. 40 hours per week, M-F (9:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m.). Requirements: Must have a Bachelor s degree or foreign equivalent in Civil Engineering, Urban and Regional Planning, or a related field, and 5 years of post-bachelor s, progressive related work experience; OR a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Civil Engineering, Urban and Regional Planning, or a related field, and 3 years of related work experience. Of the required experience, must have 3 years of experience with the following: Preparing transportation-related frameworks to aid in planning activities; Projects work including Transportation Plans, Corridor Studies, completing street design, urban design, transit infrastructure, pedestrian and bicycle infrastructure; and Public sector policy development and design. Travel to various locations throughout the U.S. up to 10% required. Telecommuting is permitted up to 3 days per week, depending on business need.
