JOB REQUIREMENTS: Overview: Works with customers to design springs and create meaningful documents that assist in the manufacturing of quality and cost effective products. Responsible for satisfying customers by meeting specifications and delivery requirements while pursuing continual improvement and achievement of established Company goals. Product-related duties: Work with customers to meet their requirements and application(s). o Design springs o Develop processes for specific customer requirements o Develop quality plans o Participate and/or coordinate meetings with customers Work with WCS\'s Quality Department to create documentation for affected WCS departments. Create routers to establish product cost. o Establish correct work centers and rates. Create tooling and spring prints, via Solid Works or other approved software. Work with Manufacturing Engineer to improve current manufacturing processes. Work with interns to enhance their knowledge and capabilities to free you up for your benefit to grow Quality-related duties: Works internally and with customers to create meaningful quality assurance documents. Respond to customers\' concerns/complaints, including but not limited to rejected parts. Work with WCS\'s Operations Department to design and fabricate test fixtures and work instructions. Create audit plans for specific processes. Assist supervisor and/or QA Tech with filling out applicable forms and identifying solutions to issues related to ICARs, 8Ds, and other corrective actions. Assist Quality Manager with maintaining WCS\'s Quality Management System. o Establish and monitor APQP-related metrics. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to read and interpret engineering-related documents and technical documents. Ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and WCS employees. Strong verbal communication skills in order to exchange information with others clearly and concisely. Ability to present ideas, facts, information of a technical nature. Ability to work independently, with limited supervision, managing multiple priorities and making decisions that affect the Company\'s success and profitability. Ability to comprehend the consequences of various problem situations and to refer such problems to the appropriate individual for decision-making. Decision-making ability necessary for responding to a variety of customer (internal and external) needs in a timely manner. Ability to work with a wide range of personalities in a courteous, effective, and efficient manner, representing WCS in a professional manner. Ability to attend to numerous details while maintaining courteous, accurate and timely relations with a variety of individuals.
