Transportation Planner (Multiple Positions) (Stantec Consulting Services, Inc.; New York, NY): Report writing and other technical assignments, including performing transportation planning studies, traffic operations analyses, traffic impact studies, pedestrian studies, transit studies, speed studies, toll road feasibility studies, traffic signal timing analysis, crash analysis, and roadway safety audits. Executing microsimulation models, roadway operations design, signal timing plans, traffic management plans, signing plans, and pavement marking plans. Executing travel demand models, including model preparation and analysis of results. Assisting with traffic data collection and data analysis, writing reports, and other technical assignments. Drafting technical memoranda and providing traffic engineering and transportation planning input to projects within transportation disciplines. Analyzing data using Excel or other data analytics software. 40 hours per week, M-F (9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.). The salary range is $86,486 - $122,200 per year. Requirements:Must have a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Transportation Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field, and 3 years of related work experience. Of the required experience, must have 3 years of experience with the following: Project experience using modeling software packages, including Legion, AIMSUN, SIDRA, EMME, HCS, Synchro, and VISSIM; Project experience using GIS software; Applying data analytics skills to manage datasets using Microsoft Excel/VBA macros and Python; and Writing technical memoranda and reports for transportation planning studies, traffic operations analyses, traffic impact studies, pedestrian studies, transit studies, and toll road feasibility studies.Travel to various locations throughout the U.S. up to 5% is required.
