We are seeking a dynamic and experienced ReactJS Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our development team, you will not only contribute to building cutting-edge web applications but also provide leadership, innovation, and mentorship to your peers. You will lead the development of ReactJS applications and modernize legacy applications to ensure high-quality code and adherence to best practices. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable and maintainable solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Creates solutions addressing high impact technology and business priorities

  • Competent in multiple contexts, including programming languages, security, automation, testing, and business domains and is the go-to person for many people (inside and outside of their team)

  • Participates in strategic technology decisions and learns how these decisions impact Discover as a whole

  • Proactively identifies and mitigates issues based on intuition and experience in multiple domains

  • Coaches' technology communities at Discover

Minimum Qualifications

At a minimum, here’s what we need from you:

  • Bachelors – Computer Science or related

  • 6+ Years -- Information Technology, (Software) Engineering, or related

  • Internal applicants only: technical proficiency rating of proficient on the Dreyfus engineering scale

Preferred Qualifications

Bonus Points If You Have:

  • Experience as part of an Agile engineering or development team

  • Understanding of software testing principles and methodologies

  • Strong experience with JavaScript with the ability to write clean and concise code

  • Strong experience with ReactJS development in a customer facing application

  • Experience in implementing responsive web development technologies (CSS, HTML, ReactJS)

  • Familiar with accessibility standards

  • Familiar with best practices around secure coding and vulnerability detection / remediation

  • Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub, Nexus, Artifactory

  • Experience with implementation of automated test suites

  • Experience in writing concise technical documentation

  • Embraces a continuous learning mindset and can apply innovation to problem solving

  • Experience with leading and mentoring other engineers

Compensation:

The base pay for this position generally ranges between $104,000.00 to $175,600.00. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
