Tactical Marketing Specialist – Analog Power & Interface Division (APID)

Job Description

As a Tactical Marketing Specialist, you will support APID Marketing revenue and profit growth initiatives by ensuring accurate system support, providing consistent and accurate pricing and establishing reporting metrics for continuous improvement and business development.

Job Responsibilities

  • Primary Marketing Interface Supporting Field Sales

  • 1 st point of contact for APID Marketing between Sales and other internal cross-functional teams (Product Engineering, Corporate Planning, Quality, etc)

  • Coordinate requests for information from the field

  • Serve on different committees as marketing representative

  • Quoting/Pricing

  • Utilize Microchip’s pricing systems and tools to provide accurate and timely price quotations to Sales for on-going business and business transferring between geographies.

  • Work closely with Sales, Management (Sales and Business Units) and other members of the global Tactical Marketing team to assist with competitive product positioning and timely pricing support to Sales for new design opportunities.

  • Proactively monitor quoting activity to verify compliance to business unit pricing objectives and to identify market trends.

  • Work with fellow business unit Marketing to establish pricing within Business Unit and Corporate pricing tools

  • Product Line Support

  • Work closely with Product Line Marketing Managers to support day to day marketing activities

  • Extract data sets using Microchip’s SAP analytics tool, analyze data, report findings and recommendations

  • Regularly conduct relevant market research and APID product line trends and coordinate with key stakeholders to partner with and oversee this activity.

  • Document department procedures, policies and create training materials for repetitive tasks on an ongoing basis and as requested.

  • Validate and maintain accurate part data within Microchip’s internal databases

  • Lead, drive, and execute on projects as assigned

Job Requirements

Qualification and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent

  • Semiconductor & automotive industry experience preferred
