Microchip Technology Test Engineer I in San Jose, California
The Test Engineer 1 will develop new product test solutions for analog and mixed-signal products within the Analog Power and Interface Division (APID). The candidate will work in a team environment interacting with design, architecture, applications, marketing and product engineering.
The successful candidate will develop capabilities to perform the following duties:
Create device test plans.
Design test load boards and probe boards (schematic creation).
Write software for automated testers to create validation, characterization and production probe and final test programs.
Sustain and improve test programs to improve yield and cost of test for high volume production.
Hours must be flexible to accommodate communication with global team members.
BSEE/BSEET degree (Electrical or Computer Engineering).
Must possess excellent communication skills and ability to work in a global multi-functional team environment.
Must have a good knowledge of semiconductor device physics.
Possess good programming skills. .
Knowledge of analog devices (CAN/LIN, Buck/Boost switching regulators, LDO’s, motor control, power drivers) is preferred.
Work within a global engineering team to maintain efficient, effective manufacturing (travel is a possibility).
