The DPG encompasses two business units, the Power Discrete & Modules BU and the RF/Microwave Discretes BU. Markets the PDM & RF/MW Discretes BU's address include alternative energy, industrial, medical, defense, commercial aviation, communications, embedded systems, motor control, power solutions, sensors and security. Summary

Supports the development and production of Surface Acoustic Wave (SAW) based analog and digital hardware, including generating automate acceptance testing, test fixture design, and hardware troubleshooting.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Operate, maintain and write automated test software using Visual Basic (vb.net)

  • Adjust and/or troubleshoot active and passive analog circuits

  • Adjust and/or troubleshoot digital circuits including microcontrollers and FPGAs

  • Identify and document changes required through Engineering Change Request (ECR) and Engineering Change Notice (ECN) process

  • Provide training and assistance to test technicians using verbal, written and technical skills

  • Identify and implement test process improvements

  • Evaluate root cause and implement recovery, corrective action and preventative action on in-process failure related to RF test

  • Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 3-5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Prior U.S. Security clearance or capability to receive clearance.

  • Computer programming skills, Visual Basic (.net) a plus.

  • Understanding of operation and theory of spectrum analyzer, noise figure meter, signal generator, oscilloscope and pulse generator.

  • Knowledge of digital signal processing including Fourier transform techniques.

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering documents, procedures, and manuals.

  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

  • Experience with Microsoft products including Office, Outlook, Internet Explorer, and Microsoft Windows.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.

  • Experience in an analog RF/Microwave test environment.

  • Prior experience with Lean and Six Sigma principles and activities.
