Google Technical Program Manager III, Zero Trust, Google Cloud in Sunnyvale, California

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 5 years of experience in program management.

  • Experience managing and scaling cross-organization and cross-functional technical programs.

  • Experience with leadership, working with engineers and technology.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.

  • Experience in general internet security.

  • Experience with distributed pipelines/infrastructure.

  • Experience with GCP or other Cloud offerings.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

Cloud Access and Protection delivers security and access controls to the enterprise customers of the Google Cloud Platform at scale, and with built-in intelligence to make customers’ lives easier.

The goal of the Zero Trust, Anti-Abuse and Account Takeover team is to replace or supplement outdated security models and make GCP a safe place to rely on for customers, and to prevent GCP from being used in abuse vectors.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $142,000-$211,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Work with engineers, product and program managers, to bootstrap programs and help scale the organization to operate in a very fast paced and research-like environment.

  • Take a strategic approach to remove process friction and build efficiencies.

  • Partner with engineering and product teams and encourage them to learn organizational best practices.

  • Manage dependencies and escalations, and drive visibility on progress and risks to leadership.

  • Build partnerships across Google Cloud Platform and leverage credibility to unblock progress and bring alignment across stakeholders.
