The Senior Financial Analyst role is an excellent opportunity based in Macquarie Park, NSW supporting our Neuromodulation division.

The Senior Financial Analyst partners with the business and acts in a controllership role for ANZ, working closely with the ANZ Country Manager to drive growth in topline and bottom line, take P&L ownership and drive sound financial processes & discipline to support sustainable growth in the business.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead sales forecast call during the weekly Australia Leadership Meeting. H/she has to be able to call out key drivers of growth/decline, key trends, validate forecasts, flag out risk, actively using data/key metrics to facilitate discussion between Country Manager, Marketing and the Regional Sales Managers.

  • Prepare and Present clear & meaningful sales report, revenue dashboards/trend charts, key leading indicators to ANZ & APAC management vs key benchmarks (Prior Year/Plan/Latest Best Estimate/Market performance) to drive visibility and strong business understanding.

  • Gathering important commercial data and compiling it into reports business leaders can use to drive fact-based decisions – with focus on forward looking analysis to drive risk/opportunity identification. (eg. Procedure data, automate, streamline).

  • Drive new innovations in the finance space through the maintaining/development of Power BI dashboards/functions where applicable.

  • Responsible for Financial Planning, Reporting and Analysis of the ANZ commercial division with ownership of full Profit & Loss (P&L) based on key benchmarks (Prior Year Plan/Latest Best Estimate/Market performance).

  • Perform in depth reviews and variance analysis on key P&L line items such as Revenue, Gross Margin, Operating expenses and Division Margin.

  • Demonstrate proactive ownership in a problem-solving approach to issues/tasks to drive accountability within the organisation such as providing proposals to Country Manager to aid appropriate courses of action.

  • Lead Quarterly LBE/Business Review processes with Country Manager and prepare loading of financial forecast into the Dodeca system.

  • Support annual territory planning and set up annual quota for the ANZ commercial team.

  • Perform Incentive accrual and Incentive payment calculations.

  • Own the accuracy and completeness of the sales reporting system that is relied upon by the sales force to see both actual results but also Targets.

  • Prepare and Load Quotas into sales reporting system to allow Variance analysis by reps; assist in filling up quota template for Neurosmart.

  • Helps to develop business cases for market expansions and product launches by running financial scenarios (e.g. revenues, profitability etc)

  • Ability to work with and coordinate effectively with and leading cross divisional/functional teams related to markets with controller responsibility, specifically customer services, Commercial, CFS/HUB Accounting, Compliance, Audit, AP/AR, IT.

  • H/she will be expected to have a sound Financial accounting knowledge with experience in either Practice or Industry required whilst having excellent excel skills and a mindset of learning and growth to develop within the role.

  • Advance skills with Excel and an established data-cube system (hyperion, Dodeca etc) and strong SAP system knowledge. Ability to perform detailed variance analyses.

  • Multitasks, prioritises and meets deadlines in timely manner.

  • Proven track record of driving process improvements, leading projects, and delivering results in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong organisational and follow-up skills, as well as attention to detail.

  • Ability to travel approximately 5%, including internationally.

Minimum Experience/Qualifications Required

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to translate data and communicate into meaningful information confidently to Senior Executives to help drive strategic decision making

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, forward thinking and finding solutions proactively.

  • CPA/CA Qualification or working towards.

  • Minimum 8-10 years' finance experience.

  • High proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint and ability to learn/leverage digital tools.
