Purpose of Job

  • Management and Supplier control, focusing on compliance with client requirements and defects prevention.

  • Ensure the quality of the product delivered to the production line, through supplier management.

  • Responsible for the collection and supplier quality issues assessment employing customer complaints, reception of material or supplier information.

  • Evaluation of current suppliers and in the context of the introduction of new products.

Major Duties/Responsibilities

  • Carry out audits, as pointed in the schedule of local and national suppliers.

  • Carry out corrective actions to defects generated due to supplier issues; request countermeasures to suppliers, assigning quarantined material.

  • Follow-up to complaints derived from clients’ requirements.

  • Provide follow-up and ensure the attainment and Improvement of supplier quality indicators.

  • Comply with Internal safety guidelines and procedures.

  • Ensure the correct daily use of the PPE.

  • Participate in the training as required by the organization.

  • Ensure the return of material to the supplier, corresponding to the RMAs with corresponding charges, when applicable.

  • Follow-up to trials in supplier manufacturing plants.

  • Participate in Layered-Process Audits, as scheduled by the Quality department.

  • Provide support in internal audits.

  • When required, partake in cross-functional projects.

Education, Experience and Knowledge

Required and/or preferred level of education, knowledge and skills that are necessary.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.

Related Experience

  • At least +3 years experience in similar SQA responsibilities, handling personnel, manufacturing / automotive company, in similar functions, international automotive standard IATF16949, ISO9001, ISO14001, client’s standards.

  • LPA audits, production processes, quality assurance standards, Core Tools (FMEAs, Control Plans, SPC, MSA).

    Special Training or Competency

Observation, understanding, and execution of applicable company ISO 14001, ISO IATF, ISO 45001. certification standards related to the role and impact on the overall organization.
