Based in West Hartford CT, Triumph Systems, Electronics and Controls is a leading independent aerospace system supplier for the commercial and military helicopter and business jet markets and employs approximately 500 employees. The Company's key products and services include electronic engine controls, fuel metering units, main fuel pumps and environmental control systems for both the OE and aftermarket/spares end markets.

Position

We have an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Product Associate. This position will prepare and perform a wide variety of operations in connection with development, sub-assembly, assembly, inspection necessary to perform the operation, test, calibration, tear down, overhaul and repair of all assigned products. Procedures are standardized to a small degree. Train others as necessary.

Responsibilities

The operations are of medium to complex difficulty.

Perform necessary tasks to complete work assignments in a timely fashion. Tasks include but not limited to assemble components, inspect components and assemblies, fit components ,calibrate, test, oil flush and safety wire, minor machine operations (e.g. bearing lapping machine), disassembly, solder to defined standards, evaluate, rework, replace components, and repair as necessary. Perform a limited range of machine operations to work parts as required (e.g. seal face rework). Inspection operations include visual checks for damage to surfaces, missing parts, damaged parts, finish and dimensional checks for size, fit and finish, including the use of micrometers, calipers, functional gages and depth gages. Assist and support engineers when required. Communicate information and complete documentation. Work instructions, documentation, and specifications range to complex. A wide variety of tools and gages are used. May make setups and adjustments, holding tolerances to blueprint and work instruction specifications. May perform a wide variety of complex tests, checkouts, troubleshooting and rework on components, instruments and assemblies; may prepare reports and suggest improvements and modifications from data collected. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures. Will also assist with inventory and cycle count.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent with 1 year of related experience. Post high school coursework or professional certification preferred.
